Come join us! The Legal Assistant provides general administrative and legal support for Mahoney Environmental Solutions, LLC. This position organizes, maintains and assists with all legal matters, oversees document, contract and file management and prepares executive-level presentations, as needed. Additionally, this position will conduct incident and case investigations and research, provide strategic planning for internal projects and facilitate smoother workflows.
This position will be located at our Woodridge, IL office and will have a hybrid schedule 3 days in office, 2 days working from home.
Starting hourly rate between $34 - $36 per hour.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
- Perform diverse tasks touching all aspects of the business, and frequent interaction with the organization’s leadership team.
- Support a wide range of business transactions including customer sales, vendor review and onboarding, property leases, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Perform research, utilizing open-source databases and other resources to gather information.
- Investigate matters including initial case and incident fact finding, citation and violation review, and identify materials for legal proceedings including documents, evidence and verifying information.
- Research and compile information to help respond to subpoenas, discovery, agency notifications, insurance claims, security matters, and internal audits.
- Support Attorney by preparing correspondence and corporate meeting minutes, fact checking, tracking case developments managed by outside counsel, and organizing corporate witnesses’ depositions.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, court clerks, and employees and affiliates throughout the organization to gather information, provide updates on various projects’ progress, perform due diligence, and offer general support throughout the legal process.
- Coordinate with employees, insurance adjusters, law firms, government agencies, and global company affiliates, to facilitate information exchange and meet project requirements.
- Manage case, claim, and incident logs and files for reference, review, and transfer.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years related experience required.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Excellent communication, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
